Another up or flat day on Wednesday will change my QQQ short term trend count to an up-trend. Tuesday was the 20th day of the current short term down-trend. The longer term trend remains down. September is typically the worst month of the year for the market, so I would not be surprised to see a decline start soon. By the way, I am not concerned that the market is rising on sluggish volume. The multi-month rally that began last September also came on below average trading volume. Check out this monthly chart of the QQQ (click on chart to enlarge).
Ahhhh, it’s so nice to have been fully invested in LULU and AH since July, and raising my stop orders. I am a “lucky” guy! Any opinion if this market will turn down?
I try not to predict, only to follow an established trend.
Hello Mr Wish,
Yes, the market raised on low volume from Last September, but look at the result, the whole rally from September was wipe out in just a few weeks.
Regards
@Hector : I don’t think the low volume of the raise had much to do with how easily it was wiped out.
@Dr. Wish: Within what range do you define a “flat” day?
I usually look at all trends and make educated decisions based on that. Trying to make decisions based solely on guesses will hurt you….at least IMHO!
But I made a lot of $$$ in the rally that began last September and lasted for 8 months! Then I got out. I’ll take any 8 month low volume rally the market gives me.
