I have demonstrated repeatedly that during a QQQ short term up-trend, its triple leveraged ETF outperforms almost all individual stocks. Why search for the rare stock that can beat TQQQ? If we are in it to make money rather than satisfying our egos, we should just buy TQQQ. But TQQQ also falls 3x faster than QQQ and one must have solid rules for exiting. I start buying TQQQ on the first day of a new QQQ short term up-trend and accumulate it as the up-trend continues. TQQQ even beat 93% of the stocks in my watchlist of growth stocks from recent IBD50 and MarketSmith Growth 250 lists.
Blog post: Day 13 of $QQQ short term up-trend; Stage analysis works–$Z has been in Weinstein Stage IV since June–one should have been out or short $Z long before Wednesday’s steep decline, see weekly chart
This is why I follow stage analysis. I never hold any equity below its 30 week moving average (red line, weekly chart).
