Hi Dr. Wish. I took your class back when you offered it to non-honors students and definitely found a lot of value in it. I use a lot of what you exposed to me in addition with a fundamental point of view to execute trades on a weekly basis. I am starting to get back into trading a little more as I am given more resources at work to do so. I just got off a conference call relating to the overall health of the economy… there was some commentary about how if the Fed stops their buy back program that we could see a major pullback.(which definitely makes sense)
Although there is no indication of that happening soon..My question is if the GMI indices can take those kinds of events into account and can predict when that might happen.

I cannot predict the market. The GMI has a good track record of telling me when the market trend has turned down. I am a trend follower.
