18th day of QQQ short term up-trend. A lot of stocks are bouncing up from support. Seven that came up in my scan that are worth researching are: COO,WHR,UTHR,ADS, UNP, SLH, FMX.
Say you buy a stock using [oversold stochastic plus bounce above the 30 day moving average].
Where do you put your stop ON THE DAY OF ENTRY and THE NEXT FEW DAYS AFTER ENTRY?
Is your stop at the low of the entry bar? Or do you stop out if it closes below the 30 day moving average?

Usually below the low of the entry day. But if it closes below the 30 day average I often just sell out.

What if a stock looks great on technicals AND fundamentals AND is 2x 52 week low BUT has just gone sideways in the last 6 months. Do you reject it?
In other words, you use the “double in 12 months” criteria, do you have one for 6 months?

I would place an alert at a price where the stock gets close to breaking out to a new high. Stocks that have already doubled and are going sideways are a great place to look for emerging rockets as long as they are near a green line top.
