If this is the beginning of a major market decline, how will we know when it’s time to go long again? Don’t want to miss the boat if we bounce hard off of a low. Question is, what will the low be?

No one knows where the bottom is in advance. One does not have to get back in at the bottom. If one reenters near or below where they exited, they have come out ahead.
