I really enjoy your blog; only wish you would post more often! Can you elaborate on your strategy for systematically increasing a successful position? I am always hesitant to do this because psychologically, I feel that I have already reaped the upside and fear bringing my average cost up.

It takes tremendous discipline to buy back a stock from which one has been stopped out of with a loss. But such situations have often provided me with my best profits. The Turtles were taught to go long at ever buy signal because one never knew which signal would mark the beginning of a long trend.

Thanks for this post! Every proposition makes sense. It is too bad that knowing when to sell stocks is the most critical part because it is so hard. I am not really confident in knowing how to sell stocks besides letting my stop losses get triggered. Even then, I am worried that if my stop losses are too close that I will get shaken out and if they are too far then I will sell my stocks after losing gains or taking big losses.
